About Us
-
Do you only focus on investments?
No. Investments are one of five pillars we work across. The others are income planning, tax strategy, risk management, and legacy and estate planning. All five are integrated into a single plan so every decision supports the same picture.
-
How do you think about tax planning?
We built tax thinking into every recommendation we make, not as an afterthought but as a foundation. Returns matter. Tax efficiency matters equally. Our goal isn't just strong performance. It's leaving you with the most dollars in your pocket after everything. We coordinate directly with your CPA so nothing gets missed.
-
Do you work with other professionals such as attorneys or CPAs?
Yes, and we consider it essential. For clients navigating business exits, estate planning, or complex compensation structures, we coordinate actively with your existing team: attorneys, CPAs, and specialists, so everything stays aligned and no one is working in isolation.
-
Are you a fiduciary?
Yes, when managing assets. As a fiduciary, we are legally and ethically required to act in your best interest, not ours or a product manufacturer's. Every recommendation we make is held to that standard.
-
How do you get paid, and does that create any conflicts of interest?
We believe you deserve to know exactly how we're compensated. We'll explain our fee structure clearly at the outset and answer any questions you have about it. Our goal is a relationship built on trust, and that starts with being completely transparent about how we work.
-
Do you use proprietary products or outside investment managers?
Our recommendations are driven by what's right for you. not by proprietary products or internal quotas. We have access to a broad range of investment options and selecting based on your goals, your timeline, and your tax situation.
Why Us
-
What makes you different from other financial advisors?
Some financial advisors start with your portfolio. We start with your life. Every recommendation we make, every investment, every strategy, every structure, is connected to what you're actually trying to build. We also bring investment management and insurance planning under one roof, which means nothing falls through the cracks between advisors who don't talk to each other.
-
How do I know if I'm the right fit for Paro Advisory?
We work best with people who are at a meaningful financial crossroads: approaching retirement, navigating a business transition, running a growing company, or managing complex compensation. If you're not sure whether that describes you, reach out anyway. One conversation will tell us both.
-
I already have a financial advisor. Why would I consider switching?
That's a fair question and one we respect. The reasons we believe clients come to us are usually the same: they feel like a number, they're not sure all the pieces are connected, or they've hit a point in life where they need more than investment management. If any of that resonates, it may be worth a conversation with no obligation to do anything.
-
Can you work with my spouse or partner as well?
Absolutely. We plan for households, not just individuals. Understanding the full picture, including both of your goals, your timeline and your family dynamics, is what makes the plan work.
-
I'm a business owner but I haven't thought seriously about exiting yet. Is it too early to talk?
It's almost never too early. The planning that happens two or three years before a sale is what determines whether the exit goes well. If you wait until you're ready to sign, you've already missed the most important window.
The First Meeting
-
How do I start a conversation?
Fill out the short form on this page, and we'll reach out to schedule a call. No pressure, no commitment. Just a conversation about where you are and whether we might be the right fit.
-
What happens in the first meeting?
We listen. The first meeting is about understanding where you are, what you're trying to build, and what's keeping you up at night. We don't bring a product to the first meeting. We bring questions.
-
What should I bring to the first meeting?
Nothing formal is required. If you have recent statements, a sense of your current income, or a list of questions you have been meaning to ask, bring those. But if you show up with nothing but your situation and your goals, that's exactly enough.
-
Is the first conversation confidential?
Completely. Everything discussed in our conversations is held in strict confidence. That trust is the foundation of every relationship we strive to build.
What to Expect
-
Who will I be working with?
A team built around your plan, not a single advisor handed your account. Every Paro Advisory client has a lead advisor, an associate advisor, and an operations lead who know your plan, your family, and your history. The specialists behind them for tax, estate, and insurance are looped in when the work requires it. That structure is deliberate. Your plan, your file, and your relationship belong to Paro Advisory, not to any one person. It’s the standard we hold ourselves to, and the reason your strategy never depends on a single person being in the room, including the founder.
-
How often will we meet?
That depends on what you need and what's happening in your life. At a minimum, we meet regularly to review your plan and make sure everything is still aligned. If something changes. in the market, in your family, in your business, we are in contact as often as it takes.
-
What does it cost to work with you?
We work on a fee-based model, meaning our compensation is tied to the work we do for you. Commissions may be received for insurance products. We'll be transparent about our fees from the very first conversation, so there are no surprises.
-
Do I need to have a certain amount of money to work with you?
We don't have a published minimum, but we do work with a selective number of clients so we can give each relationship the attention it deserves. The best way to find out if we're the right fit is to start a conversation.
-
I'm not sure which client type describes me. Does it matter?
Not at all. The archetypes on our site are meant to help you see yourself in our work, not to put you in a box. Many clients don't fit neatly into one category, and that's completely normal. What matters is where you are and what you're trying to figure out.
-
How long does it take to build a financial plan?
The timeline varies depending on the complexity of your situation. What we can promise is that we won't rush it. The plan we build together is designed to hold through real life, and that takes the right amount of care upfront.
-
What if my situation changes after the plan is built?
Then we update the plan. A good financial plan is not a static document. it is a living strategy that evolves as your life does. Life changes. The plan should too.
-
What happens if the market drops significantly?
We've planned for that. One of the reasons we build income plans, stress-test your portfolio, and layer in protection is so that a market downturn doesn't derail your life. When volatility hits, our job is to be the calm, steady voice that helps you stay the course or make an informed adjustment, not an emotional one.
-
What does "preparation" actually mean in practice?
It means we build the plan before you need it. Before we allocate a single dollar, we understand what that dollar needs to do. Before retirement, we've already mapped your income structure. Before a business sale, we're in the room. Preparation is not a product we sell. It is the standard we hold ourselves to in every client relationship.
